Engage your students
How do we encourage students to become informed and engaged citizens and develop critical thinking? Through thoughtful discussions, students can gain a better understanding of the complexities of the world and the implications of global issues.
In addition, collaboration allows students to explore different perspectives, develop empathy, and gain a better understanding of the interconnectedness of global issues. Developing critical thinking skills helps students to analyse the causes and effects of global issues and encourages them to think critically about the solutions proposed by others. By discussing, collaborating and developing critical thinking around global issues, students gain a deeper understanding of the world. This understanding can help them become more informed and engaged citizens, better prepared to take part in global discourse and make a meaningful contribution to society
Pearson’s Global Citizenship (5-16) is a continuous learning programme designed to help fuel discussion, inspire collaboration, and develop students’ critical thinking skills around a variety of global issues. It includes a curated curriculum, teaching guidance, printed and digital resources, and quality assessments at the end of each key milestone.
